We are inspired by the former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and his story, as he speaks on behalf of The Elders, an independent group of global leaders working together for peace and human rights.
Black Dot was founded in 2015, in Gothenburg, Sweden. The founders recognized the need to create a bridge between the academic environment and business actors, to improve the transition from student life into entrepreneurial action and bring more innovative and sustainable solutions.
Our core goal is to instill a systemic change in the academic environment and foster generations of doers.
We need more people to actively focus on solving the sustainability challenges already existing today and the ones coming in the future. We aspire to create the conditions for students to apply their knowledge and skills and step into the world of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
We hope to see our model and methods spreading geographically, from universities to societies across the globe. We want to become an empowering force for students worldwide, doing our best to improve our common future.
We organize events and workshops for students, where learning occurs through collaboration and application of skills in a friendly but focused environment. We connect them with businesses and empower new collaborations, projects and business opportunities. Our student participants receive facilitation in the innovation process, training in design thinking and applied entrepreneurship and as well as awareness of the importance of Sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
